We are an established family run business looking for someone we can guide through their apprenticeship to become a fully fledged member of staff and a valuable part of the team. Alongside our experienced colleagues, you will be trained on activates like fitting skirtings and doors, among others, to clients across the country.

    £7 hourly rate but overtime pay from 5.30pm. Other performance based financial benefits. Private hotel room provided when working out of town.

    Leicester hours 8am-4.30pm. Out of town working hours 8am - 6pm.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Things you will learn:

  • Carpentry and joinery - skirtings, door fitting, timber racking
  • Suspended Ceiling fitting
  • Wall Cladding
  • Decorating
  • Stud partitions
  • Plasterboarding
  • Taping and filling
  • How to set up, use and maintain workshop machinery
  • How to set up, use and maintain on site powered tools
  • Tiling
  • Basic Plumbing and understanding of basic electrical work

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Carpentry and Joinery Level 2

  • Block release to SMB Group, Stephenson Campus, Coalville LE67 3TN

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Oppourtunity for a full time position in the business with higher responsibility and pay on completion of the apprenticeship.

We offer Shopfitting and office installations nationwide; with many years of experience across all areas including Carpentry, Electrical Installations, Plumbing and Decorating.
