What will the apprentice be doing?
- Positioning, assembling, installing and dismantling integrated electromechanical power and control systems
- Carrying out planned, unplanned and preventative maintenance procedures on integrated plant and equipment
- Replacing, repairing and/or removing components within integrated plant and equipment and ensure its return to operational condition
Diagnosing and determining the cause of faults within integrated electromechanical power and control systems
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Students will be working on a 3 year apprenticeship, year 1 will be spent at the HETA training centre in Scunthorpe where they will complete the following training:
- Multi-skilled workshop training including Maintenance, hand fitting and CAD
pecialist Mechanical training including Advanced Mechanical - Maintenance, Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- A BTEC Level 3 Extended certificate in Engineering delivered one day a week
Years 2 and 3 will then be spent at the Cranswick Gourmet Pastry site in North Scarle where they will work alongside our Maintenance team and gain hands on experience and training to further their knowledge.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the learner can be offered a full time contract with Cranswick PLC. In addition there may be progression opportunities through Higher Education which allow the learner to progress to a more senior role within the organisation
