    £10,928.00

    £5.28 per hour for the first year of employment, rising to the national minimum wage for their age after 12 months.

  • Working week

    Full time position (37.5 hours). Monday to Friday (inclusive) 9:00 – 17:00 with a half hour unpaid lunch break.

    Total hours per week: 37.5

What will the apprentice be doing?

General office administration 

  • Opening, sorting and date stamping incoming mail 
  • Distributing mail after being checked by the Practice Manager 
  • Arranging deliveries during the day to other solicitors, companies, court etc  
  • Photocopying, scanning and binding as required 
  • Collation of materials for solicitors either in hard copy or in E formats 
  • Banking 
  • Collating and barcoding files for archiving
  • Any other duties as requested from time to time

Supplies 

  • Checking, stocktaking and ordering stationery  
  • Topping up printers and photocopiers with paper throughout the day 
  • Ordering toners and cartridges for printers and photocopiers and arranging pick up of recycling containers  

Reception cover  

  • Answering phone and forwarding all messages 
  • Greeting clients and advising staff of their arrival 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Business Administration Level 3.

Functional skills in maths and English up to level 2 (if required).

A mentor/supervisor will support the apprentice on a daily basis within the business and an assessor will visit the business to review and ensure that all work is completed. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon completion of this apprenticeship there is the opportunity to remain within the organisation and progress within the company.
