What will the apprentice be doing?
Work Week:
30 to 40 hours Monday to Friday. Times to be arranged at interview.
Working in an office setting with additional scope to learn computer aided design.
The company designs retail spaces using AutoCAD software.
After learning the basics of business administration the apprentice has the opportunity to train as an AutoCAD operator & progress onto either the surveying or retail space design areas of the business.
Responsibilities (CAD Operator) will include:
- 3D photographic survey (Storeview)
- Scanning survey data catcher (Matterport)
- CADS Specific project and information systems
- Undertaken training in CAD, Surveying and other aspects as required
Responsibilities (Business Admin) will include:
- General administrator support
- Answering, directing, referring phone calls, receiving messages
- Handling post, ordering consumables
Full training will be provided for all aspects of the role.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprenticeship will be delivered on-site at your work placement offices. 80% of your time will be normal working within the business, learning all aspects of the role from administrative support to retail space design on bespoke software packages. 20% will constitute off-the-job learning and will consist of a combination of virtual sessions, self working and on-site visits by your tutor. There will be no requirement to travel to college.
The apprentice will work towards a Business Admin Level 3 qualification and receive training on various business-specific software packages such as AutoCAD, Matterport and Storeview.
