What will the apprentice be doing?
Key responsibilities:
Application Support:
- Application support and assistance by telephone, email or in person for the core business applications
- Escalate to the 2nd line internal support team when required
- Monitoring internal and external IT ticketing systems, escalating/chasing tickets
- Working with 3rd Party support companies
- Data management, purging and auditing
- Carrying out routine checks
System projects, including delivering to our teams across the business:
- Identification and documentation of development or bugfix requirements
- Writing/following test scripts
- Release testing
- Education of end users
Essential skills and characteristics:
- Good IT literacy and computer skills
- Good knowledge of IT Systems, hardware and software systems, and software development
- Committed to own development
- Enthusiastic to learn about the business
- Task management skills
- Willing to undertake a variety of admin and support tasks
- A team player
- Able to communicate/interact with others with confidence both verbally and in writing
- Reliable in time keeping and attendance
- Good with lone working and managing your own projects

During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with The Apprentice and Training Partnership, delivered through combined weekly remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning working towards completing the L4 Applications Support Lead standard.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There may be opportunity to apply for a full time role to progress with the company.
