    Salary included above is for the first 12 months whilst in programme. After month 12 this programmes salary increases to £14,740. You will be eligible for a company wide bonus based on how we are performing as a business, and other flexible benefits.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • General maintenance.​
  • Managing breakdowns on site and finding faults.
  • Adding new systems on site for better productivity. ​
  • Running mechanical tests​.
  • Health and safety checks which include risk assessments and fire alarm tests​.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and ensuring safety comes before anything else.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 qualification in Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician.

The training will be a block release.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

After successful completion of apprenticeship, you will be given the opportunity to move into a full time position as a Fitter. 

Future progression opportunities in Tarmac are widely available with experience and include roles such as: Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager.
