    Salary included above is for the 1st 12 months whilst in programme. After month 12, there is a potential salary increase to £20,810. You'll be eligible for a company wide bonus based on how we're performing as a business, and other flexible benefits.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Given exposure to different products through rotations or secondments during your apprenticeship
  • Support the site teams in improving production efficiency
  • Support Site Managers, Maintenance Managers and Operations Managers in the running of their teams and functions
  • Basic maintenance and inspections on site

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprentice will receive a Level 5 qualification in Mineral Products Technician. The training at the University of Derby will be a block release. The on-the-job training will be given on various sites within Tarmac.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once qualified, you can become a Production Manager.

Things to consider

This role will involve working outside, during all seasons of the calendar. It's a role where you'll work in different locations and support a number of sites, and your colleagues are there to help and look out for each other. This will be a physical role with travel included.
