What will the apprentice be doing?

Our new apprentices will be responsible for the day to day care of individuals and groups of children.

You will undertake all aspects of childcare including:

  • Personal care needs
  • Planning activities to support children’s education
  • Cleaning and preparing play and eating areas
  • Developing staff and parent relationships

You will need to work well individually and be able to follow instructions as well as use your own initiative.

You will need to be capable of learning on the job and showing that you have learnt tasks by carrying them out independently, when trained.

This role may be closed early if a sufficient number of applications are received.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
  • Functional Skills in English and maths if required
  • End Point Assessment: Knowledge Test & Professional Discussion
