What will the apprentice be doing?

The main duties of the post will include:

  • Organise the catering team: their tasks, schedules and information meetings
  • Staff supervision: recruitment, training, feedback
  • Monitoring customer service levels
  • Ensure the quality of service and service provision
  • Maximise restaurant occupancy
  • Ensure on-going profitability and have knowledge of financial matters Increase restaurant sales
  • Cash handling
  • Producing rotas
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Assistant Director UECS Operations or their nominee

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The Apprentice will be working towards the Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship Standard

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Progression to assistant retail manager and higher management

Things to consider

This role will require you to work variable hours such as early morning, evening and weekend shifts. This role is a physically demanding role. You will be required to mentor, problem solve and be able to handle complaints.
