What will the apprentice be doing?
As an Operations Assistant at Wolseley UK you will be expected to carry out the following roles:
-Health and Safety: It will be required to know about health and safety, including manual handling techniques,
-Use of loading equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
-You will perform manual handling activities and become qualified to use the appropriate forklift.
-Be careful and considerate to the environment Product Knowledge:
-Working Safely to perform your job in a manner that minimises hazards to yourself, others and the working environment.
-Crucially, do not cut corners on safety, and encourage others to treat safety as a priority.
-Make decisions in difficult circumstances or when information is incomplete.
-Work co-operatively with others, building relationships based on trust and respect to achieve shared goals.
-Setting and achieving high standards and delivering high quality work commitment, effort, and reliability.
-You will be expected to provide a quality service to the customer - understanding and satisfying customers' needs and exceeding their expectations.
-You must be an effective communicator as you will be expected to regularly share information and ideas. This needs to be clearly, succinctly and with confidence.
-Actively listen to others to encourage two-way discussion.
