What will the apprentice be doing?
To provide a full range of administrative support to the Directors and Engineers including the following:
- Formatting of reports, specifications and letters, printing documents to PDF.
- Travel and accommodation bookings.
- Downloading information from the internet.
- Sending to and retrieval of files from archive.
- Providing refreshment for meetings.
- Copying and printing documents and drawings.
- Handling and transferring incoming calls.
- Meeting and greeting clients.
- Opening and processing post.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Training will be provided at our Printworks Campus in Leeds. The Apprentice will attend one day per week on day release to obtain a Business Administrator - Level 3 qualification.
JPG will provide on the job training throughout your training period.
The Apprentice will gain knowledge, understanding and skills on the job. An Assessor from Leeds City College will visit you on a regular basis to complete your college work.

We will support and coach the apprentice through the apprenticeship standard.
We will carry out both curriculum and pastoral care.
They will oversee the teaching and learning around the knowledge, behaviours and skills elements of the standard, outlined below.
We will manage the apprentice’s OneFile account ensuring targets, milestones and deadlines are achieved.
