What will the apprentice be doing?

Initially, as an Apprentice you will be trained within a supportive team environment to complete year-end accounts preparation work and management accounts work for the firm's business clients.

You will commence by:

  • Analysing bank accounts
  • Creating and checking control accounts
  • Learning how to account for fixed assets
  • Reconciling payroll & VAT
  • Preparation of bookkeeping records

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The majority of work and training will take place at our offices at Thorpe Park, Leeds 15 - whilst study towards the qualification will be 1 day per week at College based in Leeds centre.  (For L7 study, College will be block-release).

Study towards AAT (Accountancy) initially via 18-month Level 3 Assistant Accountant apprenticeship.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Following qualification at AAT/ATT, Apprentices can progress on to a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CTA.  We operate a structured progression route for development and promotion through the firm which is limitless for the right person.
