What will the apprentice be doing?

We are a showjuming livery yard with 17 horses.
We are looking for a new apprentice groom to join our team.
The right candidate will be passionate about working with horses, committed to working to a high standard on the yard and with our horses.
There will be opportunities to go to competitions and riding opportunities for the right candidate.
Math and English G.C.S.E. or functional skills will be required.

Duties to include (but not limited to);

  • Looking after the weelbeing of the horses in ourr care
  • Mucking out
  • Feeding
  • All other yard duties

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training, along with maths and English functional skills if required.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential to progress to level 3 Senior Equine Groom for the right candidate.
