We have a new exciting opportunity to work as an apprentice site supervisor in Derby. This role with give you the opportunity to gain experience of how a construction site is run at the same time as gaining qualifications to ensure you develop to your full potential. You will work towards a level 4 (HNC) qualification at college whilst working. Duties include checking the quality of work by our subcontractors, reporting safety issues on site and ensuring that subcontractor HSE paperwork is received on time and is correct.

What will the apprentice be doing?
Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues & subcontractors, you will assist with:
- Organisation and updating of site documentation
- Compiling photos and quality records
- Monitoring and ordering stock
- Ensuring that subcontractor HSE paperwork is received on time and is correct
- HSE checks and records
- Checking the quality of work by our subcontractors
- Create and display information posters
- Record, control and report on progress on the project
- Reporting safety issues on site
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will study for and be expected to pass the Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship, over 36 months, usually attending college 1 day per week.
Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.
We will support you through your formal apprentice qualification and take part in the Balfour Beatty Enhanced Apprentice programme which includes:
- Development events and activities
- Compete in the Balfour Beatty Brathay Apprentice Challenge, to help us find the Balfour Beatty Apprentice Team of the Year!
- Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award
