What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Individuals must be able to work alone and as part of a team
  • Complete all necessary technical qualification and diplomas on time and to the correct standard
  • Maintain an excellent timekeeping record at both the training centre and in the work place
  • Provide repair service in the event of equipment and machinery breakdown
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities
  • Undertake any necessary mechanical welding machine repair work
  • Undertake any necessary electrical welding machine repair work
  • Compile and maintain preventative maintenance program
  • Carry out electrical breakdown testing / repairs
  • Installation of electrical equipment i.e. sockets, lights etc
  • Provide fast and accurate fault diagnosis involving complex automated equipment with PLC's
  • Carry out calibration / validation of welding equipment
  • Compile data and maintain preventative maintenance programme
  • Support equipment commissioning. and support and assist with installation projects
