What will the apprentice be doing?
You will learn practical skills in:

- Engineering maths
- Health and safety
- Engineering materials
- Inspection and quality
- Mechanical principles
- Technical drawing
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship is typically a 42 month programme. The first ten months is spent in the Training Centre following various aspects of Engineering Skills to NVQ Level 2 followed by NVQ Level 3 in the employer’s premises
- The Technical Certificate aspect of the programme is a BTEC Level 3 Diploma

After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 2 Diploma in Machining (Foundation Knowledge)
After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) - Machining
- Level 3 Diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge)
