Accountancy Apprentice GC ACCOUNTANCY LIMITED

Working within the accounts team at G C Accountancy Limited and being an Accounting Apprentice, the right candidate will be supporting the wider practice whilst learning a variety of skills. The apprentice will be fully supported to build and develop with the aim of becoming an integral part of the team. You will be processing VAT returns through MTD compliant software, communicating with clients regarding any questions that may arise and handing to manager for review.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Using bookkeeping software to ensure that client records are complete and accurate
  • Processing VAT returns through MTD compliant software, communicating with clients regarding any questions that may arise and handing to manager for review
  • Processing client records, feeding through to our self-assessment software package and handing to manager for review
  • Processing management accounts for clients to review figures on a monthly/quarterly basis

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours as defined by the standard Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting.

You will cover the knowledge through attending the AAT Level 3 class at college and also receive work-based assessor visits to build a portfolio of evidence covering the knowledge skills and behaviours as detailed within the apprenticeship standard.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A full-time position will be offered at the end of the apprenticeship.
