What will the apprentice be doing?
This vacancy is to train an apprentice to a high level of competence in a number of standard machining operations, in order to develop a multiskilled person who can find variety in working with us.
Such processes are: -
• Universal grinding
• Surface grinding
• Jig-boring
• Spark eroding
• Wire erosion
• Conventional Milling
• CNC Milling
• Turning
• Drilling
• Assembly
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with us and Make UK, which are fully paid for, including:
Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
This 4 year apprenticeship will be made up of Year 1 at Make UK's state of the art training facility, Year 2 on day release to Make UK with 4 days per week at work, Years 3 and 4 will be entirely at Wyncliffe.
