What will the apprentice be doing?

Working alongside experienced non-destructive test technicians to gain the necessary confidence and qualifications to succeed as a non-destructive testtechnician with the ability to work both alone and as part of a team.

Working both in-house and on clients’ sites whilst adhering to strict quality, health and safety requirements.

Interpretation of national and international codes and standards that apply to the method of inspection used.

Routine control checks to validate the inspection process and verify equipment calibrations

Interpret and record results, data, and information on a written test report.

Gaining an appreciation of all aspects of the business by assisting in other areas applicable to the successful operation of the company.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Engineering Technician Level 3.

All training and learning to be delivered on site. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Full-time employment would be offered to the right candidate on successful completion of the apprenticeship programme.

Things to consider

As the position will involve driving company vehicles, a full clean driving license is preferred. Alternatively, the successful applicant must be willing to take their driving test. 18+ is preferred to allow to work in radiography department. Start Date: As soon as possible for the right candidates.
