What will the apprentice be doing?
- Work as part of a team to oversee the delivery of projects from brief to completion
- Liaise with clients from initial briefings stages and be main point of contact throughout
- Organise and arrange resource to achieve delivery
- Contacting sub-contractors required to complete projects and meeting on site to discuss works.
- Liaise with commercial team on costings/variations
- Liaise with buying team to purchase materials
- Manage program of works for the project
- Coordinate & manage external service suppliers
- Liaise with sub-contractors to provide relevant H&S documentation – risk assessments/method statements
- Aiding and helping project management team
- Daily site checks, liaising with site teams, to help/discuss site problems
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will study the full syllabus of the level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship comprising 12 units including scope management, budgeting, project life cycle, risk management, project quality, schedule & resource management and project procurement.
The course is delivered through a combination of classroom teaching, practical workshops and independent learning/self-study.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon completion a permanent project manager role will be considered with potential for progression into senior project management.
