What will the apprentice be doing?

PETA are proud to be working with Medhurst Communications Ltd to support them with the recruitment and training of a new IT Support Apprentice. The successful applicant will join the managed services team and be based at a school in Yateley.

What will my new role involve?

Joining the team as an IT Support Apprentice, you will:

  • Provide IT support on both hardware and software including desktop PCs, mobile devices, audio visual and networking equipment
  • Maintain and troubleshoot IT equipment
  • Identify and resolve technical problems

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As an IT Support Apprentice, you will be studying towards a level 3 ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing, onsite training and mentoring from the Medhurst team combined with 25 days of off the job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham.

  • PETA Server Fundamentals
  • PETA Security Fundamentals
  • 10 Quality of Life (QoL) training days
