What will the apprentice be doing?
- Demonstration of knowledge, skills and behaviours through completing the below modules in the workshop, classroom and in the workplace
- In your first year, develop your basic handskills and start building your fundamental engineering knowledge in Marshall's Workshop including learning to produce components using hand fitting techniques and producing sheet metal components and
assemblies - Apply your learning of core skills working on live aircraft whilst completing your modules
- Using and interpreting engineering data and documentation
- Scheduled aircraft maintenance and servicing
Unscheduled aircraft maintenance including defect rectification to aircraft systems and components - Repairs to airframe structures
- All levels of modifications to aircraft structures, systems and interiors
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 3 Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance (Civil Aircraft Mechanical)
approved by the CAA) - Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Aviation Maintenance (Development
Competence) - UK CAA Aircraft Maintenance Licence Category A, Part 66 modules through an approved Part 147 Training Organisation

You will be working towards becoming a qualified Aircraft Mechanic.
