What will the apprentice be doing?
Alongside completing your Early Years Educator level 3 qualification you will be required, to support the Nursery team in planning and organising activities and experiences for a group of children aged between 3 months – 5 years. To protect and promote the safeguarding of children.
Duties will include:
- Provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors
- Understand and work to nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
- Plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes
- Ensure records are properly maintained
- Liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery information and children’s progress
- Complete any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the nursery aims and objectives

- Full Level 3 apprenticeship early years educator standard
- Functional Skills if applicable
- Paediatric First aid qualification
