What will the apprentice be doing?
The works will involve:
- Detailed measuring of drawings to enable the costing process for competitive tendering
- Assistance to project managers during the works phases
- Administration of health and safety and the production of O&M manuals for completed projects
- Involvement in the day to day running of a busy construction company
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 4 CertHE in Quantity Surveying
- Level 4 qualification in Construction and Built Environment
- Training will be in the workplace at Emerson Willis office
- Day release (one day per week) during term time to ARU campus in Chelmsford (24 days per year)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- To progress onto the Level 6 Quantity Surveying Top-Up apprenticeship
- Complete the BSc Quantity Surveying degree
