What will the apprentice be doing?
General Responsibilities Will Include:
- General supervised mechanical work
- Checking in tyres, changing tyres, balancing wheels
- Ensure workshop is kept clean and tidy – sweep up when required, take rubbish out
- Stock check consumables and order from suppliers
- Politely greet customers, answer the phone when busy, complete paperwork as directed
The team is made up of five fully qualified mechanics, two apprentice mechanics and four office staff. We are open from 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday, and 8am until 1pm on Saturdays.
When you start your apprenticeship with us, we will not expect you to have any mechanical knowledge, you will be taught everything you need both on the job and at college.
We do however expect you to have an interest in vehicles, be eager to learn and demonstrate that by showing initiative and taking responsibility for your own progression.

On completion of the apprenticeship you will gain a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) qualification.

We are looking for someone to start their career with us during their Apprenticeship with the opportunity to become a full-time member of the team once their Apprenticeship is finished.
