What will the apprentice be doing?

We are an extremely busy practice and aims to provide a high standard of care to our patients. We are looking for someone who is able to offer a high level of customer service whilst being able to remain calm under pressure. We have a large and supportive team of healthcare professionals who are on-hand to offer support and advice.

Daily responsibilities will be:

  • Welcoming and greeting patients and other visitors to the medical centre
  • Answering the phone
  • Booking appointments either at the reception desk or by telephone
  • Ordering prescriptions
  • Dealing with patient queries
  • Various administration tasks
  • Liaising with members of the healthcare team

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Full Business Administrator Standard
  • All training will take place at employers premises

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The possibility of full time employment on the successful completion of the apprenticeship.
