You will have the opportunity to assist the company in undertaking various activities within a Chartered Building Surveyor practice, working on a variety of commercial properties, Including inspecting properties, assessing the condition of the premises, highlighting any issues or defects a property has and tailoring reports to suit our clients.

What will the apprentice be doing?
On a day to day basis, the role will involve the following:
- Shadowing of other surveyors on various inspections and surveys
- Preparing for meetings, inspections and surveys
- Writing up reports and inspection notes
- Obtaining experience within the workplace to support academic studies
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The qualification you will be studying is a Level 6 Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship in Building Surveying.
This degree is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), so what you learn on the course applies to the industry.
When you graduate, you'll have the academic and work-based experience that you need to register for the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). Upon passing the APC, you will be a Chartered Surveyor.
You will be required to travel to Portsmouth University one day per week to undertake your training.
