This would be a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Exact working hours are agreed with your Line Manager, however an example of standard hours are 09:00am – 17:30pm with one hour for lunch.

What will the apprentice be doing?
As a civil engineering apprentice in our water risk management team in Exeter, you will be supporting your team on local and national projects.
Your tasks could include:
- Training in the use of software to complete 2D drawings and 3D models alongside the design team
- Visiting site to support with inspections where possible
- Collating information for reports for our internal teams and our clients
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will attend Exeter college to study a Level 3 Civil Engineering apprenticeship and gain a BTEC qualification, as well as completing your End Point Assessment (and your EngTech status) with the Institution of Civil Engineers. You will also be enrolled onto a bespoke internal development programme to help you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully achieve your apprenticeship, and support your career in civil engineering. Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As this is a permanent position, after gaining your level 3 qualification, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us. You will have the opportunity to pursue your further study and training goals and go onto work towards gaining professional registration with your chosen institution.
