What will the apprentice be doing?
- To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
- To ensure that the setting is a safe environment for children, staff, and others.
- To developing partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
- To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery Manager.
- To complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship.
- To attend training.
- To complete all assignments set.
- To work as part of a team.
- To liaise with mentor and assessor and prepare yourself for your assessment visits.
- To help to develop and maintain good relationships and communications with parents / teachers and nursery staff to facilitate day to day caring needs.
- To liaise with parents in an upbeat and friendly manner, maintaining eye contact and a smile.
- Introducing yourself to those you may not have met.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard - Early Years Educator L3.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
