Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
Minimum Wage Rates -
Working week
Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30am-6:00pm. Monday and Thursday would be more flexible hours based on company needs, but would not be outside 7:30am and 6:00pm.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Assisting on brew-days, gradually taking more responsibilty for the production of beers
- Preparation of the raw materials
- Cleaning and maintenance of the brewery
- Data entry onto the brewery management system
- Monitoring beer and quality control
- Assisting with the sales side of the business
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Brewing Apprenticeship Level 4, maths & English Functional Skills Level 2.
By the end of the apprenticeship, we would expect you to have a good working knowledge of the brewing process, from raw materials to finished product and be able to perform many of the basic brewery management functions independently and with confidence. You will have a strong knowledge of different beer styles and characteristics and how these are produced.
Should you show a particular aptitude for brewing, we would encourage you to work towards and earn the General Certificate in Brewing during your apprenticeship with us. This is a key building block in a successful career as a brewer.
Successful completion of the apprenticeship will put the candidates in a strong position to apply for further brewery positions.
