What will the apprentice be doing?
- Undertake tasks within the relevant pillars of Supply Chain (Material Planning, Logistics & Supplier Delivery Performance Management (SDPM) in order to understand the role of the function and activities within it (examples below but not limited to):
- Learn the difference between planned and unplanned maintenance and the various methods of planning materials for the activities
- Understand the system parameters used for managing the planning of different types of parts
- Learn the process for managing urgent demand
- Get an understanding of all warehouse processes from receipt of goods into stock to point of consumption
- Understand the different logistics flows for managing parts movement between multiple sites
- Learn the key measures associated to good logistics management
- Controlling delivery of materials by effective order book management
- Understand the key measurements of Supplier Performance
- Gain an overall understanding of our wider business processes and practices

- As an apprentice you will attend college on day release
- Knowledge and competence training as dictated by the standard
