What will the apprentice be doing?
Once your training is completed here, you will then continue your apprenticeship at our facility where you will spend time experiencing working within the manufacturing of our business before continuing to work within your selected field for the remainder of your apprenticeship and your duties associated for an apprentice welder. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to supplement our experienced workforce, where you will competently operate a range of fabrication equipment including MIG/TIG welding.
Principle role & responsibilities:
- Spend time experiencing working within the manufacturing of the business
- Work within your selected field for the remainder of your Apprenticeship
- All duties associated for an apprentice Welder
- Operate a range of fabrication equipment associated with welding
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will study on a Level 3 Plate Welder standard on a Plate Welder pathway. On completion of this, you will gain a qualification in Engineering at Advanced Level 3 standard.
During the first year of the apprenticeship, your learning will take place at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre based at Catcliffe, Rotherham, for an initial block of study on a full-time basis. After this, you will attend the Training Centre for one day a week for knowledge study.

Completion of the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre apprenticeships are nationally recognised qualifications which are acknowledged and respected by employers across the world.
