What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Following health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Cable Cutting for either external customers or for production. 
  • Stock Checking - counting items and adding to a list.
  • Preparing customer orders - packing and labeling

All staff must wear safety footwear. Googles, aprons and gloves must be worn for some tasks once staff are fully trained.Forklift training and tests are carried out by external authorised companies.Cable machines are only used by staff when fully trained in this procedure. All machines have suitable guards and no one under 18 would be expected to use the machines unsupervised. 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • You will work towards completing the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship which Smart Training and Recruitment will deliver virtually and in the workplace 
  • You will also receive a 3-month induction working with all departments within the business

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

You will receive fully supported training to ensure your personal development success in all areas which could lead to Supervisor or  Warehouse and Transportation Management positions.

Other training will include the following: Counterbalance Forklift Training, Health and safety.

Things to consider

You will work in a busy warehouse environment and be required to follow all Health and Safety guidance and use Personal Protective Equipment.
