This would be a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Exact working hours are agreed with your Line Manager, however an example of standard hours are 09:00am – 17:30pm with one hour for lunch.

What will the apprentice be doing?
As a civil engineering Level 3 apprentice in our Local Government, Highways team in Lincoln, you will be supporting the team on local and national projects; carrying out inspections, making structural calculations, visiting site, and helping your team to resolve design queries and compile information for our clients. You will be trained in the use of software engineering tools such as AutoCad to help your team build a full set of design and engineering skills.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will attend Lincoln College to study a Civil Engineering apprenticeship and gain a BTEC, as well as your EngTech status with the Institution of Civil Engineers. You will also be enroled onto a bespoke internal development programme to support you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviour that will help you successfully achieve your apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As this is a permanent position, after gaining your level 3 qualification, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us. You will have the opportunity to pursue your further study and training goals and go onto work towards gaining professional registration with your chosen institution.
