What will the apprentice be doing?
Established in 1974, we have been serving the village of Clanfield for over 40 years. Over the years the business itself has seen many changes, and we are proud to evolve and change as our customer requirements have.
As an apprentice you will be trained in all aspects of traditional butchery, to include:
- Health, Safety & Hygiene requirements
- Carry out a range of primary and secondary butchery
- Produce meat and poultry products, such as sausages, burgers and pies
- Use machinery and other relevant cutting equipment including the ability to sharpen knives
- Cleaning processes
- Customer service
The ideal candidate will have good hand eye co-ordination, personal presentation and good communication skills.

Once you have completed your End Point Assessment you will have achieved:
Level 2 Standard in Butchery
Level 2 Certificate in Professional Butcher
Level 2 Food safety Award
Level 2 Food safety in the Food Supply Chain Award
Level 2 Health & Safety Award
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship you may be offered a permanent position.
