What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be trained to install & maintain intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.
The successful candidate will be fully supported by a workplace mentor while undertaking the Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems (FESS) apprenticeship.
This is an exciting and rewarding role for someone with a passion for engineering.
Duties including:
- Installing, servicing & maintaining appropriate equipment
- Adhering to safe working practices & able to take instruction
- Using power tools, lifting, carrying & climbing ladders providing excellent customer service
Full UK driving licence is an advantage as required to travel to different addresses for installation.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful candidate will be fully supported by a workplace mentor while undertaking the Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship lasts 3 years and takes place at Banham Academy in Earlsfield, London. Training is delivered via block release with each block lasting 5 days. There are fifteen blocks in all.
Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to completion of their apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On successful completion of the FESS apprenticeship, we aim to offer a full-time position as a qualified engineer within our company.
