What will the apprentice be doing?
- To assist the QS with commercial administration and management
- Management and control of sub-contract accounts and variation accounts
- General day to day administrative duties
- Preperation of documentation and the like for valuations, procurement or commercial admin
- Assisting the buyers on material procurement & buying opportunties
- To support the QS in the management of the day to day cost control, monitoring and reporting
- Develop an understanding of contracts, specifications and pricing
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- One day per week day release to Sheffield College to complete a Level 4 qualification in Construction and Built Environment
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Once qaulified there will be a career progression opportunity to complete a batcheloors degree in Quantity Surveying (Additonal 2 Years)
