What will the apprentice be doing?
As a distributor of high-end sports and outdoor brands, we have the exclusive rights to sell and market these brands within the UK and Ireland.
Our company has seen year on year growth since we started out in 2004. As we continue to expand existing brands and bring on new brands, we are looking for a passionate self-motivated person to join our driven team to support staff in the administration and operations of the company.
The role will involve working closely with our team to help them with their duties in the following, but not limited to, functions:
- Assist in generating new business and sales
- Administration of general sales functions
- Administration of setting up new products in our ERP system
- Supporting in the administration of our brand ambassador programme
- Aiding in the purchase and supply chain functions
- Support in the administration of B2C ecommerce and marketplace sales channels, as well as in B2C communications
- Processing B2B orders
- Supporting goods-in and goods-out
- Working with the team during exhibitions/events
- Answering emails and phone calls
- Research
- Monitoring online prices
- Monitoring key account stock levels
- PA functions to Directors
- Other tasks as required
We are looking for a hard-working individual who is self-motivated and passionate about their work and driven to succeed. You will need to be able to display a strong initiative in finding solutions and self-learning.
The successful candidate will need to be able to work well in a team environment but must also feel comfortable having their own responsibilities and being accountable for those.
As a company that works within the sports industry, an interest in sports, especially racket sports, would be beneficial, but is not a necessity.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The candidate will complete a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship. This will include an End-Point Assessment (EPA). It may also include Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT. This will be delivered by Weir Training Limited.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We are a growing business and our past apprentices have stayed on in full positions going on to become managers within the company.
Our constant growth will hopefully provide you too with a long-term position within our company that will match the skill set that you will have built during your apprenticeship.
