What will the apprentice be doing?

Apprentices experience a number of different areas within the business such as Production, Maintenance and the Machine Shop. Whilst in these areas, a range of activities could be carried out such as:

  • Product build and inspection
  • Setting/operating and programming CNC machines
  • Using Computer Aided Design (CAD)
  • Fault finding
  • Carrying out and helping to complete engineering project activities across multiple disciplines

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 apprenticeship certificate over 3 years including:

  • Level 2 competence qualification 
  • Level 3 competence qualification 
  • Level 3 knowledge qualification

This is a fantastic opportunity that requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Renishaw's sites are fairly remote and we do not have access to public transport, therefore the individual will need to be able to get themselves to college and work independently.
