What will the apprentice be doing?
We have an opportunity for an apprentice to work as an Assistant Construction Site Supervisor whilst working towards a Level 3 Construction Support Technician qualification.
You will get involved in a range of operations including estimating, planning, buying, site, quantity surveying, and design and build roles.
A varied role, your day-to-day work will include:
- Estimations and quantity surveying
- Site Planning
- Assisting with purchasing
- Assisting with design and build roles
- Assisting with digital processes
- Assisting site supervisors
- Interpreting and analysing plans, contract & project documentation
- Liaise with external organisations
- Liaise with professional and technical teams, providing support where needed
- Assist with ensuring build time frames are on track
- Identify site hazards and helping to ensure safe methods of practice are being adhered to at all times
- Reporting procedures
- Maintaining and retrieving correct documentation
- Assist in quality control
- Support contracting teams
- Maintain clear lines of communication between site
teams - Contract administration and support as required
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- The apprentice will work towards a Level 3 Construction Support Technician qualification
- Additional off the job training will be provided via day release college attendance
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- On successful completion of this Apprenticeship there is opportunity to progress onto higher level Site Management apprenticeship training, or into full time employment
