What will the apprentice be doing?
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for first class customer service and a desire to get into the hospitality industry to join the team at a historic 4 star and award-winning hotel right in the heart of Norwich.
As a hospitality team member, you will provide high class customer service and help to maintain the excellent customer experience provided by the hotel. You will learn all aspects of the role, whilst working towards a Level 2 Hospitality Team Member qualification. Your role will be varied and rewarding and will include:
- Serving customers in a friendly, polite, and efficient manner
- Dealing with customer enquiries, comments and complaints
- Familiarising yourself with the hotel menu and beverages and recommend products to customers. These will be both alcoholic and non - alcoholic beverages
- Clean and maintain all areas along with tables inside and outside the venue
- Record all payments accurately on the till, handling cash and ensuring correct operation of till procedures
- Comply with all company Health, Safety, Fire and Hygiene policies, taking care of personal safety and that of members of your team, customers, and visitors
- Liaise with management and your colleagues' ensuring tasks are carried out efficiently
- Being willing to work additional shifts to cover holidays and sickness
- Carrying out any other duties as required by the business that may not be directly associated with your job function
- Present themselves in a manner that reflects the image and standards of the business
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Additional training will be given by means of regular online and workplace sessions
- This will be working towards a Level 2 Hospitality Team Member qualification
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- There is the opportunity to move into permanent full-time employment upon completion of the apprenticeship
