What will the apprentice be doing?

Apprentices will train with us by working in every department within the workshop during their Apprenticeship. Generally that will be done in roughly the following order:

  • Body construction
  • Fitting out a body
  • Mounting bodywork to base chassis’
  • Making body components such as doors
  • Basic vehicle electrics
  • Basic welding and fabrication

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Day/Block release to our Stephenson campus, Coalville. (Part of the SMB Group)
  • Functional skills if necessary
  • On-the-job training
  • Off-the-job training

The successful candiate will receive a Metal Fabricator level 3 Standard qualification at the end of the apprenticeship.
