What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Control the opening and closing of workshop jobs
  • Plan jobs into the workshop, allocating to the internal/external body repairer
  • Liaise with 3rd party repairer to support the repair programme
  • Support stock levels by ordering the correct parts for the stores
  • Raise and close purchase orders
  • Create damage estimates for end of life claims
  • Maintain compliance documentation
  • Support the Workshop Administrator and Damage Manager day to day
  • Work towards the successful achievement of team targets

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be expected to work towards the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.

As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment, you may be required to complete maths and English Functional Skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion you will be awarded additional certificates of recognition for these qualifications.

Things to consider

Your role will be have a varied and therefore you will need to be adaptable to change and willing to learn new skills. Prior experience of working with the general public would be advantageous but not essential. NOTE - There is limited public transport to this employers location but there is free onsite parking.
