What will the apprentice be doing?
A normal week will look very similar to:
- Working with our Head of Production in our prep kitchen
- Working with our Head Chef on the sections
- Cleaning and closing the kitchen
- Day to day kitchen operations
This role will support the essential day-to-day prep required in a Mediterranean kitchen.
You will need to be friendly, adaptable, eager to learn and open to feedback.
Minimal experience is accepted, but some chef skills including knife skills, labelling, hygiene and HACCP is preferred.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
All of your training will be completed within the workplace, You will be working towards the Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship.
You will have the opportunity to work towards your Functional Skills in Maths and English if you do not have the GCSEs or equivalent.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
To develop through the positions in the kitchen, starting from the ground up, and working through these positions in a thorough manner.
Natural Progression route would be the Level 3 Senior Production Chef Apprenticeship.
