What will the apprentice be doing?
- Work alongside the School Manager to become a key worker within the school administration team.
- Establish positive relationships with the staff, pupils and be the face of the office.
- Support the SM with activities which support the day to running of the school.
- Maintain high expectations at all times.
- To be fully aware of the ethos, standards, procedures and policies of the school.
- Attend training sessions as appropriate.
- Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies and help keep pupil/s on task.
- To support school administration by arranging/providing resources as necessary; raising orders and updating the financial system.
- Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Contributing to maintaining and improving office procedures.
- Be able to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
- Provide a high standard of customer service to staff, pupils and the wider community.
- Maintain pupil attendance records.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any issues/concerns.
- Receive and direct incoming telephone calls in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Receive and direct incoming calls, pass on messages in a timely manner.
- Use of office equipment such as photocopier/scanner
