What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be trained to install and maintain Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Fire Alarm systems.
The successful candidate will be fully supported by a workplace mentor while undertaking the Level 3 Fire, Emergency and Security Systems (FESS) apprenticeship.
This is an exciting and rewarding role for someone with a passion for engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To assist with the installation, servicing and maintenance of security systems
- To liaise with other members of your team effectively
- To adhere to safe working practices
- Using power tools, lifting, carrying and climbing ladders, providing excellent customer service
- To provide excellent customer service
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful candidate will be fully supported by a workplace mentor while undertaking the Level 3 Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Technician apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship lasts 3 years and takes place at Banham Academy in Earlsfield, London. Training is delivered via block release with each block lasting 5 days. There are fifteen blocks in all.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On successful completion of the FESS apprenticeship, we aim to offer a full-time position as a qualified engineer within our company. However, should your interest lie in another role such as System Design, Networking, Project Management or Professional Services, we would be open to discuss career pathway opportunities within these disciplines.
