T Price Bricklaying are looking to take on an Apprentice Bricklayer to work on construction projects in and around Plymouth. Your duties will include setting out work areas, preparing mortar etc.

What will the apprentice be doing?
The apprentice will be supervised at all times working closely with the employer to learn all aspects of bricklaying.
Work duties will include:
- Safe working practices
- Setting out work areas
- Understanding and interpreting information
- Preparing mortar
- Using specific tools required for tasks
- Measuring materials and cutting
- Keeping all work areas clean and tidy, and manual lifting
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 2 Bricklayer Apprenticeship
- Functional Skills maths and English
- CSCS Test
As part of the apprenticeship programme, attendance is required at our Skills Group training centre for one day per week. All other aspects of the qualification will be delivered on-site by the employer. You will have regular visits every six to eight weeks from your designated Skills Group assessor, who will monitor your progress during your apprenticeship training.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On completion of your Level 2 apprenticeship with Tom, you will have the opportunity to go self-employed.
