What will the apprentice be doing?

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Learning how to prepare meals from scratch
  • Preparation of vegetables and salads for meals
  • Making cakes, pastries, and biscuits from scratch
  • Following all the current food hygiene regulations and always keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
  • Assisting the chef on duty to prepare and send meals to customers
  • Cleaning the kitchen at the end of the day ready for the next day
  • Keeping records to show good hygiene practices are being followed

Level 2 Production Chef apprenticeship standard, including:
