What will the apprentice be doing?
We’re unique in the way we source and make most of our fresh food ourselves. Our different manufacturing capabilities make us stand out in the world of retail.
During our 3-year programme, you’ll help us to drive up efficiency as you develop your leadership skills, work on exciting live projects, and simplify and improve our manufacturing processes.
On the scheme you'll:
- Gain wide-ranging experience within a variety of manufacturing teams across the site covering a variety of shift patterns
- Learn about different manufacturing equipment, processes and technologies.
- Learn how to run production lines and lead production teams
- Make an impact on exciting live business projects
- Gain early responsibility as a Team Manager, responsible for a team of colleagues and the production across your shifts
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Join us, as a Manufacturing Degree Apprentice, and you’ll get to make an impact from day one, as you work on exciting projects and help us make our manufacturing processes simpler and more efficient.
Along the way, you’ll learn how to run production lines and lead production teams while getting to grips with a wide range of manufacturing equipment, processes and technologies, and gaining exposure to a variety of manufacturing teams. This will help you develop the skills and experience you need to become a Team Manager before too long and progress to a Shift Manager by the end of the programme.
While you’re working with us, you’ll also be studying towards a BSc (Hons) Management and Business at the University of Bradford. Balancing work and a degree course will be challenging. But we’ll offer you study leave so you can take time to concentrate on your university studies. And, in return for your hard work and determination, you’ll gain full chartered membership of the CMI (Chartered Management Institute). What’s more, you’ll have the experience you need to step into a Shift Manager role at the end of the programme.
