What will the apprentice be doing?
Pumping and Technical Services are a specialist pump engineering company, established in 1978, with a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of chemical and refinery process pumps.
Due to their success they are now looking to recruit an ambitious business admin apprentice to help with their growth plans. The role will fully involve you with the workings of the business giving you a fantastic opportunity.
Duties include:
- Answering the telephone and directing calls to the appropriate person
- Recording weekly timesheets for all production staff
- Meeting and greeting visitors in reception
- Raising delivery notes, MS Word. Arranging collections with UPS using their website. This will include liaising with Stores and other areas within the business and establishing the most competitive supplier for deliveries via pallet force or dedicated lorry
- Arranging collections and deliveries in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintaining photocopier, liaising with supplier in regard to copier readings for invoicing purposes, servicing, supplies and keeping stocked up with paper on a daily basis
- Printing hard copies of pump serial number records, job book and drawings for Managing Director
- Maintaining up to date information on all company notice boards.
- Filing dead order files and retrieving files when requested
- Downloading photographs of pumps from work’s camera, itemising and filing photographs in correct order
- Other administrative tasks in the areas of HSE, HR and Finance
